The more I think about it the more I think that my shooting over the top of stuff is more about basic set up than anything else. It might also explain why I struggle with some tower birds..... if as I suspect I lose the rib of the gun as I point it skywards then I will naturally struggle.... whereas if I start right as I clearly do on occasion then I have a good hit rate.
It is something that I am going to work very hard on at the weekend. I intent to practice quartering birds by shooting skeet all morning, while concentrating on my gun mounting.....that should be more than enough to be going on with.
I shoot at Sporting Targets Corporate Entertainment and Clay Pigeon Shooting ground in Bedfordshire.
